JACKSONS SECURITY OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH &
SAFETY POLICY
At Jacksons Security the health,
safety and welfare of all employees and visitors is of equal importance to all
other operational considerations.
The employer, supervisors and employees work
together to ensure that the business is a safe workplace.
The employer (Jacksons Security)
is responsible for:

ensuring that compliance with occupational health, safety and
welfare legal requirements
-
taking reasonable steps to provide a safe and healthy workplace
and, in particular, safe systems of work
-
ensuring that consultation is actively promoted in the workplace
-
ensuring that all policies and safe work procedures are annually
reviewed
Supervisors
are responsible for:
-
day to day management of health and safety issues
-
ensuring that all employees receive information, instruction,
training and supervision
-
ensuring that employees receive training prior to commencing new
tasks or when using new equipment.

supervising employees to ensure that employees under their control
are safe from injury and risks to their health
Employees are responsible for:
-
following reasonable instructions and using the equipment provided
by the employer to protect their health and safety and that of their colleagues
while at work
-
identifying and reporting any workplace incidents or hazards to
their supervisor
-
being involved in resolution of occupational health and safety
issues
-
protecting their health and safety and that of others by not
working while under the influence of alcohol and other drugs,
-
not interfering with, or removing any safety guards, safety
devices or protective equipment provided by the employer.
We expect contractors and visitors to:
-
minimise the risk of incidents and accidents within Jacksons
Security by ensuring that all contractors and visitors adhere to the relevant
Acts and Regulations, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and Jacksons
Security's Policies and Procedures .

protect their own health and safety at work
